The Ocean Begins in Your Neighborhood - Keep Storm Drains Clean!

Don’t dump oil and gunk into storm drains. It goes straight to the ocean, and pollutes the water in which we swim. Fish and other sealife also are killed by the toxins.

Use little or no pesticides, and don’t let water run off your lawn. Clean up your lawn clippings, and don’t let them flow into the storm drains.

Don’t let your car drip oil, and return dirty oil to the store (or oil change garages – they are required to accept it for free) for recycling.

Don’t litter.

Sweep away debris instead of using a hose and wasting water.
