Weekly Crime Briefing

ROBBERY

Tennesee Ave. & Sawtelle Bl.                                             9-25-17 10:00 P.M

The suspect struck the sleeping victim with a golf club several times.  The suspect took the victim’s shoes and fled the location on a bicycle.  The victim was not injured and had no visible injuries.  Both parties involved are homeless.

BURGLARY

12100 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       9-22-17 3:00 A.M                                                                  Suspect(s) smashed the front glass door and entered the business.  The suspect(s) removed the victim’s property and fled the location.

12100 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       9-21-17 10:00 P.M & 9-22-17 7:00 A.M                    Suspect(s) smashed the front glass door and entered the business.  The suspect(s) removed the cash register drawers which contained US Currency.

12100 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       9-21-17 5:00 P.M & 9-22-17 7:00 A.M                                            Suspect(s) smashed the front glass door and entered the business.  The suspect(s) ransacked and removed property from the business.

NOTE:  The Burglaries above have similar MO’s as a rock was possibly utilized to breech the windows.  I have a brief suspect description as a male wearing a hoodie with dark pants.  We are reviewing video surveillance video and latent prints.

1600 Brockton Ave.                                                                9-18-17 8:00 A.M & 9-22-17 5:00 P.M                                  Suspect(s) entered the victim’s possibly unlocked residence.  The victim said he was missing one bag which contained photography equipment.

1600 Granville Ave.                                                                9-20-17 12:01 A.M & 1:20 A.M                                                   Suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked and open front door and removed property and fled the location via point of entry (POE).

1700 Armacost Ave.                                                               9-22-17 7:00 P.M & 9-23-17 6:30 A.M                                  Suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked front door, the suspect fled the location with the victim’s property.

1700 S. Westgate Ave.                                                           9-23-17 3:00 A.M & 8:00 A.M                                                  Suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence while the victim was home.  The suspect removed property and fled the location undetected.

11600 Wilshire Bl.                                                                  9-26-17 6:30 P.M & 9-27-17 8:00 A.M                  Suspect(s) entered the business via unknown means, once inside the suspect(s) removed items and fled the location.

12000 W. Pico Bl.                                                                    9-26-17 10:30 P.M & 9-27-17 4:45 A.M                Suspect(s) broke the lock and made entry into the business, the business was ransacked and property was removed.         

1800 Barry Ave.                                                                         9-27-17 3:15 A.M                                                                 Two suspects entered the location and removed property, one suspect was arrested for Burglary.

2200 Wellesley Ave.                                                               9-28-17 2:00 A.M                                                           Suspect entered the victim’s unsecured residence, the suspect turned on the lights and looked through the residence.  The suspect fled the location when the victim awakened in the bedroom.

11900 Wilshire Bl.                                                                  9-28-17 10:00 P.M & 9-29-17 7:45 A.M

Suspect(s) broke the glass to the victim’s front door and gained entry.  Once inside the business the suspect removed property and fled the location.

11900 Texas Ave.                                                                      9-28-17 1:45 A.M & 5:00 A.M                                 Suspect(s) pried open the front door of the building, and gained entry.  Suspect(s) removed the victim’s property.

1200 S. Bundy Dr.                                                                    8-19-17 10:00 A.M & 9-20-17 10:40 P.M             Suspect(s) removed property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.

11500 Tennessee Ave.                                                           9-20-17 6:30 P.M & 9-21-17 8:30 A.M                   Suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed property.

11500 Gateway Bl.                                                                  9-22-17 1:00 P.M & 9-22-17 6:30 A.M                   Suspect(s) opened victim’s unlocked and open vehicle and removed property.

1800 Sawtelle Bl.                                                                     9-21-17 10:00 P.M & 9-22-17 8:00 A.M                Suspect(s) broke the rear passenger widow and removed property from the victim’s vehicle.

12200 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       9-21-17 11:59 P.M & 9-22-17 12:30 A.M                   Suspect(s) removed property from the victim’s unsecured vehicle.

11200 W. Olympic Bl.                                                           9-23-17 6:20 P.M & 9-23-17 8:00 P.M                  Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s vehicle window and removed property.

11300 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       10-1-17 12:00 A.M & 1:30 P.M                              Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s vehicle window and removed property.

11200 Santa Monica Bl.                                                       9-30-17 3:00 P.M & 4:50 P.M                                  Suspect(s) opened the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed property.

2200 Amherst Ave.                                                                  9-25-17 3:30 A.M                                                                     Suspect(s) removed property from the victim’s unsecured vehicle.

1900 Beloit Ave.                                                                       10-1-17 1:00 P.M                                                      Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s vehicle window and removed property.

THEFT

1400 Colby Ave.                                                                        9-25-17 / 9-29-17                                                     Suspect(s) took the victim’s mail and package from the apartment complex.                                

11600 Missouri Ave.                                                              9-21-17 7:30 P.M                                                      Suspect(s) removed a package that was delivered to the victim’s residence.

1500 Granville Ave.                                                                9-24-17 & 9-28-17                                                     Suspect(s) entered the garage area and cut the lock to the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s property.

Bundy Dr. & Exposition                                                        9-25-17 & 9-27-17                                                    Suspect(s) cut the lock and removed the victim’s bicycle.

1500 Colby Ave.                                                                        9-15-17 8:00 A.M & 7:00 P.M                                 Suspect(s) entered the unsecured parking garage and removed the victim’s bicycle.

Bundy Dr. & Exposition                                                        9-28-17 7:00 A.M & 6:00 P.M

Victim stated he parked the bicycle in a bike stall, suspect(s) removed the bicycle.  It is undetermined if the bike was secured.
