WEST LOS ANGELES – BRENTWOOD MULTIFAMILY [Q] CONDITIONS

This will be on our July Agenda.

Overview

The Department of City Planning (DCP) is developing a targeted planning ordinance for the West Los Angeles / Brentwood area. This "Q" Qualifying Condition will address zoning regulations for new multifamily construction to help ensure that future development is compatible with and enhances the existing neighborhood. Attached is a first draft of this ordinance for public review and comment.

What will this Ordinance Address?

The Multifamily [Q] Conditions aim to bring increased stability to residential neighborhoods by introducing development regulations that encourage new infill development to be consistent with the overall character of the area. This ordinance includes design standards for building form and orientation, architectural treatment, open space, and driveway and parking design. These standards will also help to enhance the pedestrian experience within the neighborhoods.
