LAPD Weekly Crime Briefing with SLO Lavenson

ROBBERY

Sawtelle Bl. & Tennesse Ave.                           4-27-18 9:50 P.M

Three suspects approached the victim who was walking, the suspects grabbed the victim’s hair and covered the victim’s eyes.  The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and took a cell phone from the victim.  The suspects fled the location in a brown colored vehicle.

 

 

BURGLARY

1400 Federal Ave.                                           4-23-18 8:30 A.M

Suspect entered the victim’s residence while at home, the victim heard a loud noise and yelled.  The suspect was frightened and fled  the location.

11600 Kiowa Ave.                                           4-26-18 4:10 A.M

Suspect used a counterfit key to unlock the mail door and removed packages from the apartment building.  This suspect and his fellow team has hit several locations in the area.  We have a lead and are following up on this investigation.

 

 

11600 W. Olympic Bl.                                     4-15-18 & 4-29-18

Suspect(s) smashed a wall and entered the storage units property.  Once inside the suspect removed the victim’s property and fled the location.

1800 Barry Ave.                                              4-28-18 6:24 P.M

The suspect attempted to steal packages from the victim’s mail area.  The victim startled the suspect and caused the suspect to flee the location without the victim’s property.

 

BURGLARY/THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE

Colby Ave. & Santa Monica Bl.                                   4-24-18 1:50 P.M

Suspect attempted to remove the victim’s license plate from the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect got startled and left the location.

1500 Saltair Ave.                                             4-21-18 4:00 P.M & 4-23-18 11:00 P.M

Suspect(s) removed property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s property in an unknown direction.

1700 Colby Ave.                                             4-23-18 2:00 P.M & 4-24-18 7:30 A.M

Suspect gained entry to the victim’s vehicle via unknown means.  The suspect removed property and fled the loction with the victim’s property.

2200 Pontius Ave.                                           4-19-18 midnight & 4-19-18 12:45 A.M

Suspect removed property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle and fled the location.

1800 S. Barrington  Ave.                                 4-16-18 7:00 P.M & 4-17-18 8:50 A.M

Suspect entered the victim’s vehicle via unknown means and removed property and fled the location.

1400 Butler Ave.                                             4-26-18 11:00 A.M & 4-27-18 5:00 A.M

Suspect gained entry to the victim’s underground parking garage by unknown means.  The suspect used an unknow tool to gain entry to the victim’s vehicle and remove property.

Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s front drivers window and removed property. 

2200 S. Bundy Ave.                                        4-27-18 5:00 P.M & 4-28-18 9:45 A.M

Suspect(s) used an unknown object to gain entry and remove property from the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction with victim’s property. 

1200 Stoner Ave.                                             4-26-18 6:00 P.M & 4-27-18 8:30 A.M

Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s vehicle window and removed property and fled the location.

1530 Purdue Ave.                                            4-26-18 11:00 P.M & 4-27-18 8:00 A.M

Suspect(s) smashed the passenger front window and gained entry to the victim’s window.  The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction.

1400 Barry Ave.                                              4-26-18 2:30 P.M & 4-27-18 7:50 A.M

Suspect(s) smashed the victim’s passenger window and removed property from the vehicle.  The suspect fled the loction with the victim’s property.

Colby Ave. & Santa Monica Bl.                                   4-24-18 1:50 P.M

Suspect attempted to remove the victim’s license plate from the vehicle with an unknown type of tool.  The suspect fled the location after being scared off by the witness.

1200 Stoner Ave.                                             4-26-18 5:30 P.M & 4-27-18 9:00 A,M

Suspect(s) entered an unlocked parking complex and smashed the victim’s driver side window.  Once entry was made the suspect removed US Currency and other items, the suspect fled the loction with the victim’s property.

1400 Stoner Ave.                                             4-28-18 7:00 A.M & 4-28-18 11:20 A.M

Suspect(s) smashed the passenger side window with an unknown object.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s property.

2100 Federal Ave.                                           4-30-18 8:00 A.M & 11:15 A.M

Suspect(s) used an unknown pry tool to unlock the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction with victim’s property.

1600 Granville Ave.                                        5-1-18 1:30 A.M & 9:00 A.M

Suspect(s) pried open the drivers door with an unknown tool.  The suspect removed property and fled the location in an unknown direction with victim’s property.

1800 Beloit Ave.                                              5-1-18 11:30 A.M & 5-2-18 8:00 A.M

Suspect(s) used an unknown type of tool to enter the victim’s vehicle.  The suspect removed property and fled the loction.

STOLEN VEHICLE

1700 Colby Ave.                                             4-23-18 5:30 P.M

The victim stated the vehicle was locked and secured, the victim discovered the vehicle was missing the next day.  No other person had permission to drive the vehicle.  2016 Honda Odyssey van gray.

11900 Iowa Ave.                                             4-23-18 4:00 P.M & 4-24-18 9:45 A.M

The victim locked and secured the vehicle, it was discoved the next day that the vehicle was gone. Nobody had permission to drive the vehicle. 

 

 

BICYCLE THEFTS

12200 Exposition Bl.                                       4-29-18 5:00 P.M & 9:30 P.M

Victim locked and secured his bicycle to a bike rack.  The suspect(s) removed the bike from the rack via unknown means and fled the location with the bike.

1200 McClellan Dr.                                         4-20-18 5:00 P.M & 4-21-18 10:30 A.M

Suspect(s) used an unknown cutting tool and removed the victim’s bike lock.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s bike.

Corinth Ave. & Santa Monica Bl.                     4-19-18 8:15 P.M & 8:30 P.M

Suspect(s) cut the bike cable and removed the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location E/B on Santa Monica with the victim’s bike.

1800 Federal Ave.                                           4-5-18 7:00 P.M & 4-21-18 6:30 P.M

Suspect(s) entered the secured apartment complex garage and took the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location in an unknown direction with the victim’s bike.

11400 W. Olympic Bl.                                     4-17-18 3:00 P.M

Suspect(s) removed the victim’s locked bicycle by unknown means and fled the location with the victim’s bike.

11900 Idaho Ave.                                            2-22-18 & 4-2-18 3:00 P.M

Suspect(s) broke the chain and U lock that was securing the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s bike.

 

1800 Purdue Ave.                                            4-5-18 6:00 P.M & 4-8-18 8:00 A.M

Suspect(s) entered the victim’s residence carport and removed the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s bicycle.

12000 Wilshire Bl.                                           4-24-18 12:35 P.M

Suspect(s) used bolt cutters to remove the lock from the victim’s bicycle.  The suspect fled the location with the victim’s bike.

11700 Olympic Bl.                                          4-4-18 3:00 & 6:30 P.M

Suspect(s) removed the victim’s bicycle from the bike rack and left the location with the bike.

 

1900 S. Bundy Dr.                                           4-6-18 7:00 & 9:40 P.M

Suspect(s) unlocked the victim’s bike lock via unknown means and fled the location with the victim’s bike.
