JaBari Brown: A West LA Neighbor Making a Difference Through Volunteerism

Our neighborhoods are better places to live because of people like JaBari Brown.

JaBari lives in West LA and works at the University of Southern California as the Senior Associate Director of Advisement and Civic Engagement, where he oversees student and alumni affairs, admissions recruiting, civic engagement, program management, and academic advising. But it isn't his day job that makes JaBari such an inspiring neighbor, it is his work as an all-star volunteer that has made a lasting impact in his community.

Since first moving to West LA, JaBari has actively sought opportunities to engage with his neighbors and connect with like-minded people to improve the West LA neighborhood. He has worked on various neighborhood projects with the West LA Community Coalition and served on committees that focus on literacy, as well as hunger and poverty alleviation in West LA and throughout Los Angeles.
