The Office of Congressman Ted W. Lieu would like to invite you to attend the Congressman’s 8th Annual Bipartisan, Multi-District Service Academy Day.

This event will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the DaVinci Schools in El Segundo, CA. Ample free parking will be provided. This event is open to students, parents, and educators. Attached you will find a flyer that we encourage you to distribute to your community, local schools, and school districts so that it may reach as many students as possible.

The purpose of this event is to bring together service academy officials, current service academy students, current service academy parents, prospective service academy students, prospective service academy parents, and multiple congressional offices. Tthis collaborative event will also give prospective students and parents a place to directly ask their questions.

A representative from the United States Air Force Academy, the United States Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and the United States Coast Guard Academy will be in attendance to deliver brief presentations and to answer student and parent questions. Additionally, prospective students can engage with current students during a student panel and prospective parents can engage with current parents during a parent panel. Our event will also include our Panel Supporting Black, Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) Applicants featuring Service Academy representatives that specialize in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion outreach, as well as current and previous servicemembers that have insight for BIPOC applicants considering this education and career path.

Students will have ample time to connect with congressional offices to learn of specific application requirements..
