A few things noteworthy of this incident, most importantly this was admirable on behalf of the cleaning crew.  However, I do not advise chasing any suspect(s) for a number of reasons.  This is a property crime, and the property can be replaced.  It is unknown if the suspect has a driver, layoff person, or partner in the vicinity.  It is unknown if the suspect is armed, and the state of mind.  It is not worth the risk of getting injured or worse during a crime in progress.  Please be a good witness, get discritptions of any suspect’s, vehicle and anything else noteworthy.  Video survielence is always beneficial.  With that being said, I will advise the cleaning crew that their beloved LAPD is hiring.
