Lunar New Year Victims Fund
Dear AADAP 'Ohana,
We are saddened to hear about the acts of violence that has impacted the AAPI community this past weekend. One of Los Angeles County's largest Asian populations is located in Monterey Park. It is tragic that this incident happened on the eve of Lunar New Year, the most significant event in many AAPI communities.
On a day that should have been a joyful celebration, a whole community was devastated by gun violence and fatalities. Our hearts go out to each and every victim as we are extremely grieved. We urge you to check in with your AAPI friends and neighbors and offer your support. We've outlined resources below that are being put together by community leaders. If you are able to, consider making a contribution to the Monterey Park LNY Victims Fund. In times like this, it's important that we stand by each other in solidarity and unity.
